When Tracy saw the posting for the Texas Chapter Director position and researched ZERO, she knew she found her new home. Texas Tracy, as we lovingly call her, saw the potential to grow our current Texas races as well as to add new ones. Her words: “Expansion of the chapter equals more lives saved.”
Helping people has always been her passion. After college she began her career in the nonprofit world with the American Cancer Society. There she educated patients on their cancer diagnosis and treatment, coordinated programs for cancer survivors, and managed several Relay for Life and other events. Upon returning to San Antonio after Hurricane Harvey, Tracy joined the Alzheimer’s Association and managed Walks, Galas, and even a football game. Tracy can do it all!
Spreading awareness of prostate cancer to educate the public on prevention, screening, and diagnosis is her top priority. But after working a long day (and sometimes nights and weekends), Tracy likes to attend concerts and sporting events (Go Spurs Go!) with family and friends. Or if she really just wants to relax, cuddles with her fur-babies Missy and Mia. If you want to join Tracy in growing the Texas chapter, please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
