Jefferson Parker joins ZERO as Chief Operating Officer, bringing over two decades of nonprofit executive experience to the organization. With a strong background in finance, operations, and strategic leadership, Jefferson is poised to make a significant impact in ZERO's mission.

Prior to joining ZERO, Jefferson served at the V Foundation for Cancer Research for nearly 14 years in multiple roles from VP of Operations to COO. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the organization's growth, overseeing finance, investments, accounting, human resources, information technology, legal affairs, facilities, grants administration, and events fundraising as the foundation quadrupled in revenue and staff. His expertise in nonprofit management extends to roles as a Chief Financial Officer, consultant, and Executive Director for various organizations.

Jefferson's passion for the cause is deeply personal, as his father is a prostate cancer survivor, while his father-in-law sadly lost his battle with the disease.

Academically, Jefferson holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Texas, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Sewanee, the University of the South. He also maintains a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, further enhancing his financial acumen.

Outside of work, Jefferson is an active community member, having served on several nonprofit boards and finance committees, including roles as President and Treasurer. He also contributes his time to local government and church committees. When not working towards a world without prostate cancer, Jefferson enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as pursuing his passions for running, backpacking, biking, and attending live music events.
