Sheri Barros Chief Marketing and Communications Officer ZERO Prostate Cancer Sherí Barros serves as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at ZERO Prostate Cancer, bringing over two decades of experience in brand management, corporate social responsibility, and innovative marketing strategies to the organization.Barros has a diverse leadership background as a thought leader in marketing to men, sports marketing, brand partnerships, and strategic communications. Prior to joining ZERO, she served as the Vice President of Sports Brand Partnerships for the American Cancer Society, where she led a national team managing partnerships with the most highly visible brands in the world: billion-dollar sports leagues, Fortune 500 sponsors, media, and talent to advance the mission. Her career includes Head of Marketing for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs and marketing roles with the NFL’s Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons. She’s an Advertising Telly Award winner and was named an inaugural jury member of the 2019 Cannes Lions Entertainment for Sport Awards - one of the most prestigious marketing awards in the world. Additionally, Barros has served as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at New York University and has given guest lectures for UCLA’s Center for Management of Enterprise in Media, Entertainment & Sports (MEMES).In her role as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Barros is the principal leader charged with executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to promote and amplify the ZERO brand and the organization's bold mission-first strategy to reduce late-stage diagnoses, improve patient quality of life, and decrease mortality.
