Ever since she can remember, Niamh’s had to help people with the pronunciation of her name. Niamh (pronounced Neev), is a family name, as she is named after her aunt. Niamh’s mother was born in Ireland so family reunions usually mean an annual trip to Dublin. Yay!
Working with teams is just a natural progression for her, as she played Division I Field Hockey in College and has her Masters in Sports Management. Her discipline, work ethic, and competitive nature makes her a perfect fit as our Senior Events Manager. We know she will not shy away from any new challenge placed before her.
Prior to ZERO she was the Events Manager for the Melanoma Research Foundation where she organized their Miles for Melanoma, Gala and Educational Symposia events. She also served as a Program Manager for George Mason University.
Even though Niamh hasn’t had any family members affected by prostate cancer, that doesn’t mean she’s not passionate about the Prostate Cancer cause. “Cancer doesn’t discriminate and no one should have to go through that pain. I love planning events and I am happy to put my passion towards the greater good!”
In her spare time Niamh loves trying new restaurants and preparing meals with friends and family. She would love to chat about ZERO’s program and special events, but don’t call or email her on Sunday nights, because this huge Games of Thrones fan will be unavailable.
