Brelyn grew up in a small, close knit community in rural Oregon and credits her upbringing with giving her a passion for relationship building. As a part of the Events Team, she’s excited to get to know Run/Walk participants, Team ZERO Athletes, and the rest of the ZERO family!
Before moving to the DC area in January 2020, Brelyn studied public administration and Spanish at the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) and ran a community center in rural Oregon as an AmeriCorps volunteer. She knew ZERO would be a great fit after learning about their close-knit staff and supporters but far reaching impact. Brelyn has experienced firsthand the impact that cancers can have on a family and community and is passionate about helping create Generation ZERO – the first generation of men free from prostate cancer.
As an East Coast transplant, Brelyn’s excited to explore the DC area – especially all the restaurants and museums! If she’s not at work or out exploring, she’s probably planning her next trip! Brelyn loves solo travel and hopes to visit all of the US National Parks. Shoot her an email if you’d like to talk to her about fundraising for ZERO.
