Write Congress and Join Our Summit Advocates to Protect Research Funding

Join the more than 100 passionate advocates who stormed Capitol Hill for our ZERO Summit by taking action to help continue vital federal prostate cancer programs. Please contact your representatives and senators and ask them to sign onto the “Dear Colleague” letter in support of the prostate cancer programs at the Department of Defense. Increases in funding can kick-start research for improved diagnostic tools to help stop the pain and suffering from prostate cancer. The deadline is March 11 for the Senate letter and is March 14 for the House letter.

With the goal of protecting that funding top of mind, more than 100 advocates from 40 different states joined us in DC last month for our ‪2016 ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit‬! During our action-packed week we stormed the Hill for more than 100 meetings to educate elected officials about prostate cancer research and our fight for funding the Prostate Cancer Research Program at $90M, heard updates from our Medical Advisory Board, and held breakout sessions on topics ranging from managing cancer costs to having meaningful conversations with your doctor.

A huge thank you to our advocates for their hard work and dedication during our Summit! Check out our Storify for more educational information and photos.

Patient Co-Pay Assistance Program Helps More Than 40,000 Men

The financial impact of a prostate cancer diagnosis is often a major source of stress and anxiety for men and families.

That’s where ZERO and the PAN Foundation come in. Since our partnership began in late 2013, the Patient Co-Pay Assistance Program for men with metastatic prostate cancer has provided more than $150M in co-pay assistance to more than 42,000 men nationwide. We’re proud to give the gift of precious time to men and their families who are fighting prostate cancer every day.

You Can Make a Difference

In 2016, it is estimated that 180,890 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Each and every one of them deserves a fighting chance against a disease that is the second leading cause of cancer death in men. You can make a difference today by helping to fund important educational materials and much needed patient programs. In the fight to end prostate cancer, every donation is vital!
