Scott Meeks Senior Director, Video Production & Social Media ZERO Prostate Cancer Scott is an admitted social media addict. Generally, it’s pretty annoying when someone is constantly tweeting and sharing posts – but in this case, it a very good thing as Scott is ZERO’s Social Media and Video Production Director. He’s the man behind the social media “curtain”. (FYI, that’s a Wizard of Oz reference.) If you’re on ZERO’s Instagram, Facebook or Twitter – and we know you are – then it’s Scott who’s making all those magical posts happen!Scott says his job isn’t just about tweeting out links or posting infographics. His passion is finding the personal stories of prostate cancer – and then bringing them to life through ZERO’s social media platforms. He’s a journalist at heart so it’s no surprise that he began his career more than 25 years ago as a reporter and producer in his hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia. From there, he worked in newsrooms around the country in places like Raleigh, Baltimore, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Since landing in Washington D.C. in 2010, Scott has worked for ABC7, he’s produced and hosted a syndicated Going Green segment for TV stations around the country and he even produced a cooking show with the late and great Florence Henderson – aka Mrs. Brady. Today, Scott is a member of the ZERO team and is dedicated to our mission of ending prostate cancer forever. In his spare time, you WON’T actually find Scott on social media that much. He loves to “unplug” and go for a hike or a run on the Mount Vernon Trail. He’s a passionate (not preachy) vegan. And if there’s an ‘80s concert within driving distance – he’s probably had tickets reserved for a year.Want to have your story featured on ZERO’s Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter?
