Planned Giving – Wills, Trusts & Annuities

Bequest

By remembering us in your estate plans, you can leave a legacy that extends beyond your years. You have many options for making a planned gift that will leave a lasting legacy, including a bequest in a will or trust, beneficiary designation of a retirement plan, IRA, life insurance policy or account, and other gift vehicles.

You can leave a legacy gift to help others dealing with Prostate cancer through a simple bequest in your will or by naming ZERO as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, qualified retirement plan or individual retirement account. You also can arrange a tax-wise gift that will provide lifetime income for your loved ones and yourself, or that will pass assets to heirs at reduced tax.

For more information, please contact James Hutson at 847.322.4677 or hutson@zerocancer.org.

How do I make a bequest?

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift be made to family, friends or ZERO, The End of Prostate Cancer as part of your estate plan.

Sample bequest language for a will, codicil, or revocable living trust:

I give (legal description of property, specific dollar amount, desired percentage or rest, residue and remainder of my estate) to:

ZERO, The End of Prostate Cancer, a not-for-profit organization 501(c)(3)
515 King Street, Suite 420
Alexandria, VA 22314
EIN: 59-3400922

A bequest can be made in several ways:

  1. You can gift a specific dollar amount or asset
  2. You can gift a percentage of your estate
  3. You can gift from the balance or residue of your estate

You can make a beneficiary designation of certain assets. To designate ZERO, The End of Prostate Cancer as the charitable beneficiary of an IRA, life insurance policy or donor-advised fund (DAF), simply share the below information with your plan administrator:

Legal name: ZERO, The End of Prostate Cancer
Address: 515 King Street, Suite 420
Alexandria, VA 22314
Federal Tax ID: 59-3400922
