“Thomas G. Bognanno is a fierce prostate cancer advocate and an exemplary member of our ZERO community. He brings a wealth of nonprofit leadership to his role as Board Chairman that will help propel our growth and continues to give us great insight into the needs of patients,” said Jamie Bearse, CEO and President of ZERO. “This has been a seamless transition. I’m extremely grateful to former Chairman, Robert Ginyard. For more than a decade, Robert has served on the Board with passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to end prostate cancer. I’m proud to call him my friend and he helped advance our name recognition substantially during his tenure.”

In partnership with CHC: Creating Healthier Communities’s national board of directors, Thomas has significantly increased the organization’s focus on health equity and the social determinants of health. In his role, he utilizes his decades of experience and expertise to define strategic direction and increase income for CHC: Creating Healthier Communities member organizations. Prior to his current position, Bognanno spent two decades with the American Diabetes Association, and before that with the American Cancer Society.

“It is my honor to serve as Chairman at such a pivotal time in ZERO’s history. With its recent merger with Us TOO International, ZERO continues to grow and expand critical support to the prostate cancer community including a focus on advancing health equity,” said Bognanno. “Our community needs us more than ever to work together to zero-out prostate cancer for everyone who is impacted by the disease.”

“Throughout my tenure as ZERO’s Board Chairman, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing first-hand the significant impact ZERO makes in the lives of prostate cancer patients and families,” said Ginyard. “I’m grateful for the meaningful relationships I’ve made while on the Board and I’m inspired by the strides we’ve made together.
