After her brother Terry’s diagnosis, Susie promised him she’d do everything she could to fight the disease. Year after year, Susie works tirelessly recruiting teams, fundraising, and organizing the event. Whether it’s organizing a fundraiser, spreading prostate cancer awareness, or advocating for increased research funding, Susie does it with grace and passion. She fights for other patients in honor of her brother, Terry, and won’t stop until there’s an end to the disease. Since 2018, they have raised over $125,000. Patrick Merli Patrick Merli is the captain of Team 'You Got This' in the Charlotte Run/Walk. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021, Patrick discovered ZERO in his quest to raise awareness and support others facing the disease. In 2024, Patrick moved to Charleston, SC, and joined the committee of The Lowcountry Open fishing tournament, which benefits ZERO. This year, with the support of his family, friends, and the tournament committee, Team 'You Got This' raised more than $20,000 to support ZERO's mission and ensure no one fights alone.
