Jeffrey Albaugh, PhD, APRN, CUCNS, Advanced Practice Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist & Sexuality Counselor

Dr. Jeffrey Albaugh is a board-certified Advanced Practice Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 30 years experience in urology. He currently works serving our nations Veterans at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago and previously worked at Northwestern Memorial and NorthShore University/Endeavor Healthcare. He is also a board certified Sexuality Counselor. In addition to his many publications in peer reviewed journals, books and chapters in books, he is the author of his own book “Reclaiming Sex and Intimacy after Prostate Cancer Treatment-2nd Edition”. Dr. Albaugh has also published several research studies focusing on men with prostate cancer, some of which were supported by the National Institute of Health, SUNA, The NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation and the Oncology Nursing Society. His doctoral research was focused on quality of life with sexual dysfunction after prostate cancer. Dr. Albaugh’s has been acknowledged with multiple awards including 2 nursing excellence awards and the patient’s first award from Northwestern, multiple lectureship and literary awards, the SUNA President’s awards for contributions to urologic nursing and to the Society of Urologic Nursing and the Edward C. Kaps Hope Award for his contributions to men with prostate cancer.
