2024 Advocacy Summit February 25 –27, 2024 Washington, District of Columbia OverviewSpeakers & AgendaFAQOn-DemandPast Summit Video ArchiveSponsors Register now for the most impactful event in the prostate cancer community!Whether we realize it or not, our advocacy efforts touch the lives of the entire prostate cancer community. Perhaps you live in a state that passed legislation to remove costs from prostate cancer screenings. Or maybe you or a loved one has benefited from a treatment developed through one of the very programs we advocate for. Since our advocacy efforts began over twenty years ago, we have seen incredible success, such as growing federal prostate cancer research funding by over 144%.But that does not happen without people like you who come to Washington D.C. to tell their stories to their elected representatives, the ones who can enact the changes we desire. So join us in Washington, D.C. from February 25-27, 2024 to fight for policies that benefit prostate cancer patients and their families. "I am a husband, father, and grandfather, and I have advanced prostate cancer. There are treatments now that weren't available when I was diagnosed in 2009. These new treatments are prolonging and improving my quality of life. On Capitol Hill, ZERO advocates for increased funding for prostate cancer research, research which is keeping me alive. I am living proof that advocacy saves lives, and now I pay it forward by advocating at the Summit." — Darrell Wilson, Prostate Cancer Patient and Advocate 00 days 00 hours 00 minutes When you attend the ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit, you'll meet a #ZEROStrong community of people who understand what you're going through: people who've faced what you faced and are here to support you in your journey. The Summit continues bright and early Monday morning. Throughout the day, you will receive all the training and practice you need to be an effective advocate. Not only that, there will be numerous opportunities to hear from experts about the latest developments in prostate cancer research and treatment. Everything culminates on Tuesday, February 27 when we all go onto Capitol Hill to speak to our elected representatives face-to-face on how they can better support our community. Never advocated before? It can certainly sound daunting. But every advocate starts somewhere, and there is no better place to start than at the ZERO Summit, in-person and surrounded by your fellow advocates who also want to make a difference. No-one should have to choose between a life-saving prostate cancer screening and a meal for their family.
