Washington, D.C. – ZERO is pleased to announce that Boston Scientific, a leader in global medical technology, will Grow & Give to end prostate cancer during the month of November. Now entering its sixth consecutive year, Grow & Give is ZERO’s signature facial-hair growing awareness and fundraising campaign.

Boston Scientific has long been a supportive partner with ZERO and this will be the first time the multinational company will partake in Grow & Give. Throughout the month of November, Boston Scientific employees around the globe will fundraise and grow beards, mustaches, or don fake ones to help end prostate cancer. Grow & Give is a program of ZERO Prostate Cancer, the leading national nonprofit in the fight against prostate cancer.

According to a 2018 report from the Global Cancer Observatory, prostate cancer is the second most frequent cancer malignancy in men worldwide, with nearly 1.5 million new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed each year. In the U.S. this year, 31, 620 men will have died due to prostate cancer. This number is nearly equivalent to the 32,000 employees Boston Scientific has worldwide.

“ZERO is thrilled to have the ongoing support of Boston Scientific this November for Grow & Give. Boston Scientific has long been a trusted partner of ZERO’s and we’re excited to engage their employees in a whole new way through Grow & Give,” said ZERO’s CEO Jamie Bearse. “Boston Scientific and its employees are committed to ZERO’s mission of ending prostate cancer. Their support for prostate cancer awareness will help bring attention to this deadly disease, and give hope to patients and survivors.”

“Boston Scientific is committed to transforming men’s lives through meaningful clinical research and collaborations with leading organizations like ZERO,” said Dave Pierce, executive vice president and president, MedSurg, Boston Scientific. “Our employees are excited to Grow & Give to raise awareness and funds for men’s health and prostate cancer, across the globe.

With employees in 130 countries around the globe, Boston Scientific transforms lives through its over 13,000  innovative medical solutions. These medical solutions and the dedication of Boston Scientific employees have helped to improve the health of over 30 million patients around the world.

Since 2014, ZERO has highlighted each November with Grow & Give, a facial-hair growing campaign that invites individuals and teams to compete to become top fundraisers and ‘stache show-offs. Funds raised through the Grow & Give campaign help heighten the cause of prostate cancer and provide resources to prostate cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Grow & Give has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations for the prostate cancer community since its founding. Grow & Give is supported in part by generous partners, including Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Wahl USA, and others.
