Mission Volunteer Engagement, Director
ZERO Prostate Cancer
Headshot of Zaneta Taylor

Zaneta Taylor joins ZERO Prostate Cancer as the Director of Mission Volunteer Engagement, bringing a wealth of experience in volunteer management and community outreach. Based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Zaneta is passionate about connecting people to causes that matter.

With a strong background in nonprofit management, Zaneta spent eight years as the Community Volunteer Manager for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, where she developed and implemented volunteer programs that engaged over 26,000 girls in youth development initiatives. She also served as a Volunteer Coordinator for Partnership Against Domestic Violence, further honing her skills in volunteer recruitment, training, and retention.

In her role at ZERO, Zaneta will lead strategic engagement plans, both in-person and virtual, to enhance volunteer experiences. Her expertise in creating and adapting volunteerism, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and philanthropy outreach programs will be instrumental in attracting and retaining a diverse pool of volunteers committed to ZERO's mission.

Zaneta's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Public Administration. She has also earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Volunteer Management from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

Zaneta's commitment to the fight against prostate cancer stems from a profound personal connection. As a caregiver, she is passionate about protecting the men in her life - her father, husband, and sons - from this common disease. Her aunt's and mother-in-law's experiences with cancer, as well as her own journey, have inspired her to support others affected by cancer and create a sense of community and hope.

Outside of her dedicated efforts to eliminate prostate cancer, Zaneta can be found enjoying the outdoors, gardening, or traveling. She also loves trying new restaurants with her husband and cheering on her two sons at their flag football tournaments.
