Sarrah Bates Manager, Social Media ZERO Prostate Cancer Social media marketing is Sarrah’s jam. Based outside of Orlando, Sarrah is ZERO’s incredible Social Media Manager. She’s accumulated all types of stories throughout her career, as she’s worked for the Dallas Zoo, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Brevard Zoo, Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. In her role for ZERO, Sarrah maintains and revolutionizes ZERO’s online presence across all social media platforms.Sarrah earned her B.S. in Natural Resources Management with a concentration in Biology from Texas Tech University. She loved it there so much, she decided to stay and get her M.A. in Media & Communications. After her wife went through brain surgery, Sarrah wanted to find a way to use her marketing skills at an organization that was innovative in its approach to work and gave her the flexibility that she needed—which brought her to ZERO. Once she learned more about ZERO’s culture and met her future colleagues, she knew she found her new mission. She’s excited to help the fight against prostate cancer and advocate for so many men and their families during such a vulnerable time in their lives. Sarrah keeps busy in her off-time, as she has her own mini-zoo at home—with three dogs, two cats, and TWO 150-gallon fish tanks. She’s a huge Texas Tech fan and has happily gotten bumped on the head by former player (and current QB for the Kansas City Chiefs) Patrick Mahomes.
