Angie Hawk. is the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships at ZERO Prostate Cancer. She is responsible for crafting and implementing partnership strategies with top pharmaceutical partners, aiding in establishing relationships with non-pharmaceutical entities, and overseeing a team dedicated to partnership development and stewardship.

Angie brings a wealth of experience to ZERO from her previous roles in education, nonprofit leadership, and university advancement. During her time in economic development, she received recognition as a fellow for two intensive, multi year national programs: the Aspen Institute SCALE Academy Fellowship as well as the Common Good (formerly BALLE) Local Economy Fellowship. She served as an elementary school teacher before transitioning to leadership positions at various non-profit organizations focused on economic justice, education, and philanthropy. Beyond her leadership positions, she also served on local, regional, and national boards. Most recently, Angie was a major gift officer at Thomas More University in Cincinnati, Ohio

With deep roots in Ohio, Angie earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University in 1994 and later completed a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the same institution in 2003. She is a proud Bobcat through and through.

Angie's dedication to eradicating prostate cancer stems from her own family's battles with the disease. Her husband was diagnosed with the disease 4 years ago, and she lost both of her parents to cancer. These experiences opened her eyes to the impact that early diagnosis can have on patients and their families. When ZERO's HR Coordinator Siafa Tolbert reached out to her about the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships opportunity, Angie knew it was the perfect way to combine her professional skills with her passion for increasing opportunities for cancer survival and quality of life.

Angie married her husband Tim Hecker in 2022. She is the youngest of 27 Hawk grandchildren and the youngest of 3 kids in her own family. Angie is a proud mom to 2 grown children, stepmom to 4, and former foster mom to 2.

In her free time, Angie enjoys home renovating and woodworking, having remodeled a 1900 3-story Victorian in Cincinnati's oldest neighborhood, Columbia Tusculum. She also has a passion for gardening, approaching it with the mindset of a former science teacher. Angie loves experimenting in the kitchen as well, working to perfect her sourdough bread recipe. Fun fact: she was the 1984 and 1986 Coshocton County Fair Junior and Senior Rabbit Showmanship Champion and a 10-year 4-H member.
