Amanda joins ZERO as the Manager of Regional Development, where she will lead the charge for the Southern Run/Walk Region, overseeing efforts across Texas and Atlanta. Based in the Metroplex, between Dallas and Fort Worth, Amanda focuses on raising funds and awareness through community-driven events, and is committed to making a tangible difference in the fight against prostate cancer.

Prior to joining ZERO, Amanda built an extensive career in nonprofit event management. She served as Special Events Manager at Heartland Alliance, supporting initiatives related to housing, healthcare, jobs, and justice. She has also worked as the Development Manager of Events at Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), managing the organization’s annual gala, and as Senior Manager of Special Events at Horizons for Youth, where she organized events that funded scholarships and educational support for students in Chicago. Additionally, Amanda was the Manager of Special Events at the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research, focusing on peer-to-peer fundraising for a rare neurological syndrome.

Amanda holds a B.A. in Advertising from North Park University. When she's not working, she enjoys attending MLB games (especially cheering for the Chicago Cubs) and planning her next vacation either beach-side, internationally, or at one of her favorite theme parks! Her connection to the prostate cancer cause is personal, as her uncle was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and her father has been managing prostate health issues for several years. She is passionate about the importance of preventive care, equitable access to healthcare, and the need for early detection to save lives.

Amanda’s dedication to ending prostate cancer is driven by her desire to see men live long, healthy lives, especially given that prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of death among men in the U.S. She is proud to be part of a mission that advocates for better awareness, research, and support for families impacted by prostate cancer.
