Team Novembeard’s organizing members, their "Beard of Directors", have a personal connection to prostate cancer, and have worked together to grow awareness and funds in the fight to end prostate cancer. Every year, their ‘Beardos’, many of which share a similar connection, join the fundraising efforts. Team Captain Warren Macey made sure to keep his team motivated, all the while putting some fun into the fundraising efforts of his coworkers, raising over $27,000 in 2023. With a lifetime total impact of $230,000, we can’t wait to see what stache-tastic plan Warren and his team have in store for us in 2024! Top Corporate Fundraiser Bayer We can always count on Bayer to go above and beyond when it comes to supporting the needs of prostate cancer patients and their families. Bayer was the top fundraising team among all of our national Run/Walk sponsors in 2023, raising over $55,000 total across all events. The Bayer team was very engaged and had a team captain for every Run/Walk in 2023. Their “Prostate Singing Assassins: Battle of the Brands” competition brought down the house, challenging teammates to perform a karaoke song of their choice. This creative fundraiser brought in $10,000. Special shout out to Rebecca Cowens-Alvarado, Kathryn Volker, and Tyler Butler for all of their hard work. Top Corporate Fundraiser Pfizer Team Captain: Sue HensleyTeam Pfizer took the “grow” of our Grow & Give seriously! With Team Captain Sue Hensley leading the effort, Team Pfizer’s fundraising helped make ZERO’s 2023 Grow & Give campaign a great success. Pfizer’s participation in ZERO’s Run/Walks was also award-winning with teams at every 2023 race, and the highest number of Run/Walk participants among ZERO’s national sponsors. Special congrats to Margaret Conrad and Tracey Nicodemus for their hard work! Pfizer’s long-time support of ZERO’s mission to end prostate cancer has made a huge impact in providing resources and support for patients and their families, raising over $28,000 in 2023.
