In this session, Melissa Cunningham discusses the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs in Prostate Cancer which is dedicated to supporting research focused on eradicating prostate cancer, and specifically seeks to promote highly innovative, groundbreaking research, high-impact research with near-term clinical relevance, the next generation of prostate cancer investigators through mentored research and resources that will facilitate translational research.

Dr. Melissa Cunningham currently serves as a Program Manager for the Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program managed by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC). As Program Manager, she is responsible for executing the entire PCRP program life cycle, including development of an annual investment strategy, program announcement development, proposal review, funding of awards, and analysis of PCRP accomplishments and effectiveness.
