Shelby Moneer Vice President, Patient Programs & Education ZERO Prostate Cancer Shelby joins ZERO as Vice President of Patient Programs and Education, leading our comprehensive suite of patient support programs. She is an experienced educator and health professional. After earning an advanced degree in health education, she developed educational programs ranging from tobacco cessation to exercise physiology for various nonprofits. Most recently, she was the Director of Education at the Melanoma Research Foundation, where she exercised her passion for supporting and educating cancer patients. She is excited to continue her educational and programmatic work with and for the prostate cancer community. As a certified health education specialist, it’s no surprise that Shelby is extremely competitive when it comes to sports and well-being! Whether she’s playing volleyball or rooting for her favorite sports teams, Shelby is passionate about leading an active, healthy lifestyle, and inspiring others to do the same. After all, a fit and healthy way of life is proven to help prevent prostate cancer. (Though she’ll be the first to admit she has a soft spot for sweets — especially gummy worms, Hot Tamales, and M&Ms!) When she’s not in the office, Shelby enjoys getting outdoors –whether she is barbecuing, boating, rooting for the Cardinals, or hitting the volleyball court with her friends and family, she’s happiest hosting fun times and entertaining others. She has two children, and brings them along her adventures whenever she can. Her husband is a proud U.S. military veteran.
