Mathew Knowles Joins ZERO to Spotlight Health Disparities in Prostate Cancer Care

Two individuals are seated in a modern podcast studio. The man on the left wears glasses and a patterned blazer, looking relaxed. The woman on the right is in a navy suit with short platinum blonde hair, smiling warmly. Both wear headphones, ready for recording. A wooden wall and plants add a rustic touch, with a screen displaying "Blitz The Barriers" and "ZERO Prostate Cancer" in the background.

Before becoming a music industry legend, Mathew Knowles was a trailblazer in healthcare sales—one of the first Black professionals to sell cutting-edge medical imaging technology. Years later,

that experience took on new meaning when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In a compelling interview with ZERO Prostate Cancer CEO, Courtney Bugler on BET, Knowles opens up about his personal journey, the cultural barriers that prevent early detection, and the urgent need to address the disproportionate impact of prostate cancer amongst Black men.

Every 18 minutes, a Black man in the U.S. is diagnosed with prostate cancer. Knowles' powerful message is clear: stigma and silence are costing lives—and it’s time for change.

Checkout the full conversation and learn how ZERO and Mathew Knowles are working together to ‘Blitz The Barriers’ to prostate cancer awareness by increasing awareness and access-to-care. Together with lead founding partner, Novartis, ZERO is on a mission to save 100,000 lives by 2035.
