ZERO Prostate Cancer's Documentary "Slowly, Slowly" Selected for CineHealth Film Festival FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMedia Contact:Eric MillerVP, CommunicationsZERO Prostate Cancereric.miller@zerocancer.org | media@zerocancer.org ZERO Prostate Cancer celebrates a significant milestone with the official selection of its documentary short film, Slowly, Slowly, by the CineHealth Film Festival.Created by filmmakers Chris Cresci and Jason Greene, Slowly, Slowly offers an intimate and moving portrait of men navigating the emotional and physical realities of a prostate cancer diagnosis. The film's title draws from "Pole Pole," a Swahili phrase meaning "slowly, slowly," and a familiar refrain on Mount Kilimanjaro, where climbers are reminded to move deliberately, one step at a time. That spirit took on deeper meaning during ZERO's ZERO Peaks Challenge, an endurance fundraising initiative in which people impacted by prostate cancer climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds for patients and families affected by the disease. The climb raised more than $500,000 to fund ZERO's programs and services."This film is ultimately about the men and families who allow us into some of the most vulnerable parts of their lives and remind us what it means to keep moving forward, sometimes one step at a time. Every step we took, slowly, slowly, was a reminder of the strength and resilience of those facing prostate cancer. Seeing that journey brought to life on screen is incredibly moving, and I invite everyone who sees this film to join ZERO’s mission." – Courtney Bugler, President and CEO, ZERO Prostate Cancer and ZERO Peaks Challenge ParticipantThe CineHealth selection will bring these deeply personal stories and the realities of living with prostate cancer to an even broader audience.
