ZERO Prostate Cancer Launches 2026 Run/Walk Series, Uniting Communities and Saving Lives

ALEXANDRIA, Va.— As National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month begins, ZERO Prostate Cancer (ZERO), the nation’s leading prostate cancer organization, proudly launches its 2026 Run/Walk Series, a coast‑to‑coast movement uniting communities to improve and save lives from prostate cancer. This year’s series kicks off in August and spans 25 cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, the Capital Area, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Greater Kansas City, Greater Los Angeles, Hartford, Houston, Napa Valley, New York City, North Jersey, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Diego, South Florida, St. Louis, Tampa, and the Twin Cities, plus a National Virtual option.

At every stop, patients, survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters will gather to celebrate lives saved, honor those we’ve lost, and strengthen the call for greater awareness, equity, and access to care.

Prostate cancer remains one of the most urgent men’s health crises in the country. One in eight men will be diagnosed, and Black men and Veterans face significantly higher risk and mortality. When found early, prostate cancer has a five‑year survival rate above 99%, yet thousands of men are still diagnosed too late. ZERO’s Run/Walk Series brings communities together to close these gaps through connection, education, and action.

“The ZERO Run/Walk Series is proof of what’s possible when communities come together,” said Courtney Bugler, President and CEO of ZERO Prostate Cancer. “These events celebrate survivors, support caregivers, and amplify awareness in neighborhoods across the nation. With the extraordinary commitment of our national sponsors AbbVie and Bayer, we are saving lives and moving closer to a future where every man has access to early detection and accessible care.”

Each Run/Walk features:

  • A run/walk course accessible to all abilities
  • A Celebration Ceremony honoring survivors and remembering loved ones
  • Educational resources and health information to empower men and families
  • Sponsor Villages highlighting the contributions of national and local partners

AbbVie and Bayer share ZERO’s commitment to ensuring no one faces prostate cancer alone. Their support ensures our Run/Walk Series is impactful.

“Early detection, education and community support are essential to improving outcomes for people impacted by prostate cancer,” said Nicole Dinello, VP Prostate Marketing at Bayer. “We are proud to support ZERO’s National Caregiver Run/Walk Series and the important role it plays in bringing communities together, empowering patients and caregivers, and helping more people access the resources they need throughout their journey.”

Prostate cancer affects families in every ZIP code. Awareness saves lives, and your participation makes a direct impact. Each step you take at the Run/Walk helps fund free testing, financial and patient navigation, caregiver support, and life‑saving education.
