“We are honored to be named a 2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit,” says Jamie Bearse, ZERO CEO. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, specifically the success we’ve seen with our newest program, ZERO360: Comprehensive Patient Support. In its inaugural year, the program has helped more than 300 prostate cancer patients with insurance, financial, and emotional support.”

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is the based on the rating and number of reviews that ZERO received from volunteers, donors, and program participants.

“My first experience with ZERO was at a support group meeting shortly after I had my prostate removed due to having found three areas of cancer out of the 12 taken in my biopsy. Shawn from ZERO just happened to be the guest speaker that night, and I was so impressed by what she was speaking about with all of the things that ZERO was involved in when it comes to fighting and ending prostate cancer,” says Michael John R. a prostate cancer survivor and ZERO donor.

“ZERO is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with ZERO.”

GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences on more than 1.2 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
