Spring Campaign & Men's Health Month

June is Men's Health Month and prostate cancer patients in desperate need are reaching out for financial and emotional support in urgently increasing numbers. ZERO360, the only free, individualized support program of its kind, has experienced a heartbreaking 145% increase in patient support requests over the past year. Run/Walk Updates

We kicked off the Run/Walk Summer and fall season during our virtual kickoff meeting on May 16. New and returning participants, champions, team captains, race directors, practice partners, as well as national and local sponsors were on the call. If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your chapter team member for slides and the video. We look forward to seeing you at a run/walk near you.

Non-Chapter
The Hartford Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, June 4 at Dunkin' Park. The Run/Walk would not be possible without our host partner Hartford Healthcare Tallwood Urology and Kidney Institute. We can't wait to watch so many supporters cross the finish line on the stadium jumbotron.

The Cincinnati Run/Walk takes place today Saturday, June 3 at Voice of America Park. Thank you to host and presenting sponsor Cincinnati Cancer Advisors for helping make the event a great success.

Cleveland, OH and Morgantown, WV Run/Walks are both taking place Saturday, August 26. Cleveland's Run/Walk will be back at Coe Lake Park. Visit zerocancer.run/cleveland to learn more. Champion Spotlight

Champions Steve Newsom, Joe Musumeci, Bob Smith, Mike & Erica Spina, Tom DeRusso, Shanita Swiggett, and Florian Menninger were part of the planning committees for the Edison and Mount Laurel tee-Off events. Both events were a huge success due to the dedication and passion of our amazing ECM ZERO champions. The above-mentioned champions are always willing to jump right in to help out. Local Events/Advocacy

National
The Miles for Money event is kicking off on June 25. Join Champions Scott and Katy Frietag as they leave their Minnesota home behind and set out on a year-long journey to raise money and awareness for early detection of prostate cancer. This 11,000 mile journey will begin in Minnesota and head East around the entire border of the US. Follow along on this journey via the Miles for Money blog, through donations, or sponsorships!

East Coast Metro
During Men's Health Awareness Month, the New York Yankees have designated four games held June 22 - 25 in support of Men's Health Initiatives. Sign up (using promo code ZERO) to attend a Men's Health Awareness Game. For every Special Event Ticket purchased, $5 will go back to ZERO.

Not a Yankees fan? How about you join us for a Phillies game. June 23 and August 5 the Phillies will be hosting a ZERO night at the ballpark. Scan these QR codes to purchase your tickets. Part of ticket sales will go back to ZERO.

Edison and Mount Laurel NJ Tee-Off's were a swinging success and together they raised over $55,000 to fuel the programs here at ZERO. A big thank you to all of our local sponsors, participants, and volunteers.

Mid-Atlantic
May 11-13, ZERO Champions and staff shared information with veterans and their families in Washington, DC at the Vietnam War Commemoration on the National Mall. With veterans being at a high risk for prostate cancer, it was important to ask, "Do you know your PSA number?" and share critical resources for early detection and care. Thank you to Mark Franklin and our Veterans Advisory Board for making this event possible.

South Atlantic
On May 20 ZERO's Prostate Cancer in the Black Community Film Series was hosted at Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, SC. The Black Walnut by Terrance Afer-Anderson was screened and a panel including medical experts and PCa survivors answered questions from the audience. The Lowcountry Open Fishing Tournament benefiting ZERO in Charleston, SC will take place on June 10. The Tournament Captain's Party held on June 8, sponsored by Dendreon, is host to the Lowcountry Survivors' Celebration. Dr. Kubinski of the Men's Center will be the mission speaker.

Myrtle Beach, SC held its first Tee-Off Against Prostate Cancer on April 23. More than 90 participants came out to support ZERO and the ZERO Us TOO "Strand" Support Group. Thanks to our participants and sponsors over $31,000 was raised. Shout outs to our Champion Steve Miller as well as Dr. Neal Shore and the Carolina Urologic Research Center for making the event a huge success!

Southeast
You could definitely feel the Miami Vibes at the Miami Tee-Off on April 30. This successful event was attended by 168 participants who raised more than $36,000. We are thankful for all of our local partners including premier partner Deer Dental. Commitment from local partners is essential to end prostate cancer.
