ZERO Run/Walk Unites Communities Against Prostate Cancer

ZERO Run/Walk Unites Communities Against Prostate Cancer

Since its inception in 2008 as the "Dash for Dad," the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk program has consistently supported the prostate cancer community by remaining a constant beacon of hope, breaking down barriers to care, and providing essential resources. Over the years, while many aspects of the event evolved, its core mission remained unchanged. The Run/Walk served as a vital pillar in over 25 cities nationwide, offering a day for those affected by prostate cancer to unite, find comfort, honor loved ones, and celebrate victories.

In its 17th year, the program hosted 17 events during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September, raising over $2 million to eliminate stigmas and barriers in prostate cancer healthcare. Don't miss the chance to join a Run/Walk event near you. Your support will create a lasting impact on the prostate cancer community.

Don't just take it from us! Here's what Peter O'Donnell of the Charlotte Run/Walk has to say about the impact the Run/Walk has had on his life:

"After being diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in May of 2024, I sought out opportunities where I could support all men and their families by raising money and creating awareness about this disease. The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk in Charlotte has provided me this opportunity. What a wonderful event! The opportunity to meet other men and their caregivers is also fabulous! It was a great morning!"

The rechARge clinical study is enrolling

Are you or a loved one battling metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)?

The rechARge study is underway to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational oral study drug (BMS-986365) compared to standard treatments for mCRPC. The study drug is a hormone therapy. Researchers want to better understand:

  • How well the study drug works for individuals with mCRPC
  • What side effects it may have

The study drug will be compared to multiple approved treatments for mCRPC, including chemotherapy or a different hormone therapy drug. There is no placebo in this study, so every participant will receive therapy. This study is open-label, meaning that participants and their doctors will know which therapy they are receiving.
