Job Summary

ZERO Prostate Cancer’s Manager, Development Marketing will lead the strategic marketing support for all of ZERO’s fundraising initiatives—including Individual Giving, Planned Giving, Major Gifts, Peer-to-Peer Events, and Corporate Sponsorships. This role will develop and execute integrated marketing plans that drive engagement and revenue across key donor and participant segments. Acting as the primary liaison between the Marketing & Communications and Development teams, the Manager will ensure consistent messaging, effective collaboration, and content that inspires action and deepens connections with our community.

This position is based remotely and will require nationwide travel approximately 20% of the time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for executing promotions related to ZERO’s fundraising initiatives, including Individual Giving, Planned Giving, Major Gifts, Peer-to-Peer Events, and Corporate Sponsorships.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of ZERO’s fundraising goals and donor audiences.
  • Lead the planning and execution of both one-time and ongoing projects supporting ZERO’s growing portfolio of corporate sponsors.
  • Identify project goals, objectives, deliverables, and scope.
  • Create and manage comprehensive marketing project plans outlining key tasks, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of project milestones and campaign timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between the Marketing & Communications team and Development teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all efforts.
  • Write and execute multi-channel promotional content, including email campaigns, social media messaging, web copy, and marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including media buying and direct mail agencies, to facilitate project reviews, align strategy, and incorporate feedback.
  • Lead the development of opening ceremonies for major in-person fundraising events—particularly high-attendance Run/Walks.
  • Track campaign performance and key metrics; compile regular impact reports to evaluate success and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously optimize project workflows and marketing strategies based on performance data and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in fundraising marketing (including, Individual Giving, Planned Giving, Major Gifts, Peer-to-Peer Events, and Corporate Sponsorships) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple marketing projects with varying priorities and timelines.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing and communication plans.
  • Strong writing and content development skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Skilled in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of corporate sponsorship marketing and partner stewardship.
  • Familiarity with direct mail, paid media, and campaign performance reporting.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit setting, particularly within fundraising, donor relations, or event-based campaigns.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant use of a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as computer printer, calculator, and copier.
  • Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
