ZERO and Hop Valley Brewing raise over $237,000 to end prostate cancer

Hop Valley Beer Partner with ZERO to Raise Money For Prostate Cancer

WASHINGTON, D.C. – ZERO Prostate Cancer and Hop Valley Brewing raised over $237,000 during Grow & Give to help prostate cancer patients and their families. Hop Valley Brewing was the premier sponsor of ZERO’s Grow & Give campaign – a nationwide effort that raises critical awareness and funds for the urgent need to end prostate cancer. One in eight men will have prostate cancer during his lifetime. As the premier sponsor, Hop Valley Brewing matched $25,000 in donations during November 2021 to help patients.

“We were proud to partner with ZERO during the 2021 Grow & Give campaign and to use our platform to provide education and raise awareness,” said Megan McKenna, Director of Marketing, Hop Valley Brewing Company.

Thanks to Hop Valley Brewing’s match, dedicated teams like Baird Novembeard and passionate individual fundraisers, ZERO raised $237,000 for the cause. During the month-long campaign, nearly 600 participants pledged to raise money for patients.

Since 2014, R.W. Baird has formed a team and supported ZERO’s mission to end prostate cancer. They’ve raised thousands of dollars through in-person and virtual pancakes breakfasts, BBQ lunches and Happy Hours. The Baird Novembeard team raised over $26,000 in 2021!

“At Baird, we believe in giving back. Every November, a number of “Beardos” from Baird come together in support of members of our community who are faced with challenges, including prostate cancer,” said Warren Macey, Vice President and Senior Manager of Business Process Engineering. “It’s truly an honor to support ZERO each year, and we know the money is going where it is needed most.”

“Given the challenging circumstances of the pandemic, ZERO is grateful to have many passionate Grow & Give fundraisers,” said ZERO’s CEO and President, Jamie Bearse. “More patients and their families will get the help they need and we’ll get a step closer to zeroing out prostate cancer thanks to the hard work and dedication of everyone who took part in this campaign.”
