ZERO Prostate Cancer
Ali Manson, Vice President, Government Relations & Advocacy

We can’t imagine a more perfect fit for the role of ZERO’s Vice President of Government Relations and Advocacy than Alison. She’s an experienced government relations professional with expertise in health policy, and has a passion for health and wellness.

In Alison’s previous role at the American Optometric Association (AOA), she took the concerns of eye doctors and patients to policymakers to demand change. She will be such an amazing asset as we storm the hill to fight for prostate cancer research funding and new treatments.

For Alison — who goes by Ali — there is nothing more rewarding than working with and for a nonprofit to achieve a meaningful mission. Prior to AOA, she worked for Prevent Blindness as the Director of Government Affairs, leading policy efforts to improve vision health across the country. She’s also worked for the National Coalition on Health Care, where she developed strategies to make the American health system more sustainable, affordable, and fair.

She earned an advanced degree in public health from George Washington University and received her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia (go ‘Hoos!).

Ali and her family live in the greater D.C. area, where they enjoy exploring their neighborhood and community, horseback riding, live music, and the outdoors.
