Nevis man to attempt 1-year, 11,000 mile bike trip for cancer and schizophrenia awareness

Scott Freitag, a former Park Rapids postmaster and stage 4 prostate cancer patient, is initiating an 11,000-mile bike trip around the exterior of the United States over a year to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. Inspired by his own health challenges, including his cancer diagnosis and personal loss, he aims to bike 300 miles per week, supported by his wife in a camper, and intends to collaborate with the nonprofit ZERO Prostate Cancer to raise $500,000, advocating for early testing and treatment options for prostate cancer.
