**The ZERO Drive Program will be closed starting December 23, 2020- January 4, 2021 in observance of the winter holidays. During this time, you may submit an application in the secure online portal at any time and will receive a return call upon our return.
Don’t let transportation issues be a barrier to getting the treatment you need.
ZERO Drive provides transportation-related financial assistance to prostate cancer patients in Iowa who are currently undergoing treatment, receiving follow-up care, or attending ongoing provider appointments due to a prostate cancer diagnosis.
How does ZERO Drive work?
ZERO Drive exists to help Iowa men beat prostate cancer without having to worry about being able to get to and from appointments.
If you have a diagnosis of prostate cancer and live in Iowa, you are eligible to apply for a $300 debit card that can be used for transportation-related expenses such as gas, public transportation, taxis, Uber, Lyft, and other ride companies. Don’t hesitate — get moving today!
How do I apply?
- Call ZERO Drive at 1-844-244-1309, extension 3, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. ET and Friday between the hours of 8:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. ET.
- Visit the online portal, which is available 24 hours a day.
Having your doctor’s contact information (name, address, practice name, phone number, fax number) with you will help expedite this process.
Am I eligible?
To help the most men possible, ZERO Drive has only a few eligibility requirements. Eligible men must: reside in Iowa, be a U.S. resident or legal resident, have a prostate cancer diagnosis, and be actively receiving treatment or care within the U.S.
Why is ZERO Drive only available in Iowa?
ZERO is thrilled to pilot a new transportation assistance program in the great state of Iowa. Our goal is to extend ZERO Drive as funding allows, so that all men nationwide can have the opportunity for free transportation to and from medical appointments. Prostate cancer is stressful enough … let us worry about your transit needs while you focus on simply getting healthy! Stay tuned for updates in 2021 about a possible national expansion of the program.
Until then, Iowa men are able to benefit from this much-needed program. ZERO is grateful for the support of local partners and donors in Iowa, and through the funds raised through the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walks in Des Moines. This generosity will help save lives!
