Show prostate cancer patients they’re not alone
February 19-28, charity stream to help fund direct support
Prostate cancer patients often feel invisible. The disease is as deadly, and at least as widespread as breast cancer, but rarely gets more than a mention in the news. Men joke about getting prostate exams, but won’t get tested. Research and awareness lag far behind. And while overall cancer deaths are dropping, prostate cancer is killing more men than before — a man dies from prostate cancer every 15 minutes.
Prostate cancer is a silent killer, because nobody’s willing to talk about it. Let’s show patients that they’re not alone! twitch.tv/GrndPaGaming, Prostate Cancer Survivor
How To Join
It’s time to break the silence around prostate cancer. In the last week of February we’re bringing together content creators everywhere, spreading the word to raise $50,000 in funding for direct patient support programs. Let’s join together and show patients and their loved ones that that they don’t have to face prostate cancer alone — they’ve got support and love from the livestreaming community!
- February 19-28: Pick a date/time, no worries if you overlap with others.
- Make a donation page: Let us know the address, we’ll set up a short URL and add you to the site.
- Update your channel: add link, chatbot, and OBS overlays early to promote and build excitement.
- Go live: Do your normal content with frequent fundraiser mentions, or go full ham with donation incentives, guest cameos, raid trains, and more. Either route, you’re spreading awareness and making a difference!
