I’m passionate about this cause because last year my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I didn’t know how common it was until his diagnosis, so I want to help raise awareness and funds to continue to help fight this disease. Thankfully my dad’s treatments worked and without organizations like ZERO, research to treat this cancer wouldn’t be possible.

Peer support is a click away

Join a support group to share experiences and gain support from others in your area who have also been affected by prostate cancer. Virtual support groups are available, groups that serve specific communities including Women and Caregivers, Black men, LGBTQIA+, deaf and hard of hearing, and those grieving the the loss of a loved one to prostate cancer.

We would love for you to join us at one of our Run/Walks or Tee-Offs! Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Run/Walk, helping to set up, clean up, hand out water and snacks, direct runners and walkers on the course, check in participants, hand out t-shirts, and more.

A proclamation is an official designation within a city, state, or county to honor and raise awareness for a certain day or month. It brings awareness to prostate cancer by reminding communities of the burden of prostate cancer on men and their families. The public can request a proclamation at any point during the year.

Free screenings are often part of community events, though several county or state health departments also offer free screening for those who qualify.

Early detection can save your life, and many hereditary and occupational factors can increase your chances of having prostate cancer.
