2021 ZERO Summit: The Good in Going Virtual!

The team at ZERO is currently gearing up for the 2021 Virtual ZERO Summit, which kicks off in less than two weeks! In years past, we’ve held our summits in Washington, D.C., and while we’re certainly going to miss being with you all and seeing your faces in person, we couldn’t be more excited to bring our Summit to the virtual space, and to take full advantage of what online events have to offer.

This year, the ZERO Summit is more accessible than ever: already over 1,000 members of the ZERO family have registered online, which is more than we ever could have even imagined! We are thrilled to be able to reach such a massive audience like we never have before.

“With a virtual Summit, there’s even more opportunities to connect and learn than an in-person event,” said Ali Manson, ZERO’s VP of Government Relations and Advocacy.

We’ve designed this year’s Summit knowing that going virtual allows us to do new and exciting things that we’ve never done before. For example, most of the Summit events — virtual meetings, discussions, and panels — are scheduled for evening hours so more people can tune in. And. with our 100% digital format, events can be viewed either live as scheduled or anytime after they’ve aired, giving people the flexibility to make the most out of the Summit itinerary. Attendees will be able to have their most pressing questions about prostate cancer and COVID-19 answered from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

“Rather than trying to make it two sessions at once as you would at a conference center, you can simply bookmark a session recording to view later and tune into something else live,” Ali Manson said.

The five-day Summit begins at 5pm EST on Sunday, February 28th, with a message from keynote speaker Mark Moyad, and a guide for How ZERO Can Help You from Jamie and other team members at ZERO. Throughout the week, we’ll be hearing from different medical professionals about a range of prostate cancer-related subjects: survivorship and wellness, PARP inhibitors, racial disparities among black men, clinical trial information, and much more.
