The Summit Leaders Program offers a deep dive in prostate cancer policy that will help you to make a bigger difference. This interactive educational opportunity will increase your knowledge of prostate cancer biology, the policymaking process, and advocacy best practices, positioning you to use your story more effectively in the fight to end prostate cancer.This select group will form the core of our 2025 Summit advocates, leading the charge on Capitol Hill and helping their fellow advocates to make policy changes. What does it mean to be a Summit Leader?The Summit Leaders Program makes you part of an elite team that is invited to exclusive virtual training seminars, one-on-one training from Government Relations experts, and financial aid to come to D.C. and advocate. All of our members are required to:Attend all virtual training seminars.Come to DC and meet with your legislators as part of the 2025 ZERO Advocacy Summit (financial aid is available for all Summit Leaders Program participants).Be willing to share your story far and wide! The Summit Leaders Program is an intensive advocacy training program that includes seven virtual training sessions held over the course of 3-4 months, as well as an additional one-on-one session with the VP of GR & Advocacy.The program will culminate with a final session at the 2025 Summit and a welcome drink before the Bold for Blue awards. Participants will then participate in the entire Summit and serve as team leaders for their teams. Who can participate? You! All members of the prostate cancer community are welcome to apply for the Summit Leaders Program. Participants will be selected based on their experience, interest, and ZERO’s advocacy needs. Our goal for the inaugural class of Summit Leaders is to have a group with a diverse set of experiences and perspectives, and to expand the geographic footprint of our advocates.Selection will prioritize recent Summit experience and other advocacy participation. How does the program work? The training sessions will be held virtually through the fall of 2024 and winter of 2025. Our final session will be held at the 2025 Summit in Washington, D.C February 23-25, and Summit Leaders will participate in all Summit events. ZERO will cover the cost of Summit Leaders’ hotel and travel costs for the Summit.Summit Leaders are expected to participate in all training sessions and all Summit events. How do I apply?
