Mary Porter Mary Porter’s experience includes 40 years of hospital, school, and community nursing, instruction of college nursing students, and public health studies and promotion. Mary learned about Zero Prostate Cancer while working as a Nurse Navigator in Connecticut, and volunteered to be a Forum For Her support group leader when a patient’s wife asked “what’s out there to help with what I’m going through?” Having provided education, support, and advocacy for urology patients and their families in her work, and knowing the value of support groups in her family’s experiences with other cancers, she’s honored to be part of this group.
