Dr. Ryan Owen Urologist Covenant Group Medical Urology Dr. Ryan Owen was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. After graduating from Coronado High School, he entered Lubbock Christian University. While attending LCU on a baseball scholarship, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In 2008, he was accepted to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. After completing a 5-year urology residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee he accepted a final year of fellowship training in Male Reproductive Urology at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Owen is now practicing in Lubbock, Texas with Covenant Medical Group Urology. His focus is on sexual health, reproduction and minimally invasive surgical techniques for prostate and kidney cancer. In addition to his private practice, he also has a clinical assistant professorship with The Texas Tech University Urology program. Dr. Owen has held several educational seminars for patients, students, and residents during his tenure in Lubbock, Texas. At home, Dr. Owen has four children from ages 2 years old to 9 years old. He is married to his high school girlfriend, Emily Owen. They will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary in December of 2023. He enjoys watching his children play baseball, football, basketball, and gymnastics. He is also an avid mountain biker, with additional interest in travel, golf, and yard maintenance.
