Jena joins the ZERO team from Columbus, OH as a Partnerships Coordinator. With a professional background in customer service, and educational background in studying the impacts of health disparities on marginalized communities, Jena is ready to join the fight against prostate cancer. She is looking forward to utilizing her skills in connecting the dots between broad social issues and community health outcomes, balancing multiple projects, and conveying complex information clearly and concisely to build and maintain partnerships.
Jena earned her B.A. in Public Policy and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The University at Albany, SUNY and then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University. She was drawn to ZERO’s commitment to ending prostate cancer, attention to health equity, and support for patients and survivors of prostate cancer. In her free time, Jena enjoys attending yoga classes in her community, trying new cuisines at restaurants across the city, or spending quality time with her cat, Dougie.
