Manager, Donor & Fundraising Communications
ZERO Prostate Cancer
Woman with long brown hair and bangs in a black suit, Emily Kirkel

Hailing from the Windy City, Emily is ZERO’s Manager of Donor and Fundraising Communications. As the daughter of a prostate cancer survivor, she is thrilled to join the ZERO team to help make life-saving treatments and other critical resources a reality for every man battling prostate cancer.

Inspired to make a difference, Emily leads storytelling and elevates the voices of those impacted by the disease. Emily is especially passionate about ending the higher frequency of prostate cancer diagnoses among men of color and providing equitable access to care.

A seasoned fundraising professional, Emily has held fundraising leadership roles at several Chicago-based nonprofit organizations. Emily earned her B.A. in Public Policy from DePaul University and then went on to earn a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from North Park University.

In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling the world in order to experience different cultures and places. When she’s not being bitten by the travel bug, Emily is either spending time with her family and friends, or gardening in her “tiny city-sized” yard.
