Brandy Nunes Brandy is a dedicated advocate for prostate cancer awareness after her husband Leo was diagnosed with the disease in 2022 at just 49 years old. She is a strong supporter of ZERO and participated in Hill Day during Zero’s 2024 Summit. Brandy understands the need for resources and support during a cancer journey since she serves as President of the Board of Directors for Sue's Gift, a nonprofit that supports women across Colorado diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. After realizing just how few resources there were for men, she has become a ZERO Advocate – helping to share the mission about early detection, knowing your family history, and having open conversations about a cancer diagnosis. In addition to her work with ZERO, Brandy is the co-founder of Nunes Partners, a healthcare agency specializing in affordable employee benefits for local businesses. She also on the Board of Directors for CashForCare, a grassroots movement and online directory for consumers to find cash-pay friendly healthcare providers. Her exceptional contributions to her community and industry earned her the Southern Colorado Remarkable Women Award from Fox21 and Nexstar Media in 2023. More from Brandy Blog Posts Finding Hope and Community in the Face of Prostate Cancer The Nunes' life was turned upside down by a prostate cancer diagnosis before 50.
