Benjamin Maughan MD, PharmD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at Huntsman Cancer Institute specializing in genitourinary malignancies.

He has been focused on studying resistance mechanisms to identify predictive biomarkers for systemic therapy as well as identifying novel treatments for all genitourinary cancers. For instance in metastatic prostate cancer he has been studying the role of resistance pathways including expression of truncated androgen receptors (ex. AR-V7 expression) and loss of tumor suppressors such as PTEN and Rb.
