2019 Run/Walk Season Begins!

With five new race locations this year, we begin our 2019 Run/Walk season this weekend in one of our new cities – Omaha!
ZERO’s race program is the only nationwide prostate cancer run/walk series, raising $4M annually to help end the disease and provide impactful programs to support local patients. This year there are 43 Run/Walks throughout the country, running May to November, giving you plenty of options!
“At my first race, I didn’t know what to expect,” said Chris Hartley, a prostate cancer survivor and Austin Run/Walk participant. “I left feeling a new sense of community and filled with hope. No man should have to fight this disease alone and attending a ZERO Run/Walk helped me realize my community is here for me.”
Check out all our locations and learn more about participating in a run/walk near you!

Three Physicians Added to ZERO’s Medical Advisory Board

We are excited to announce the addition of three new members to our Medical Advisory Board. Elisabeth Heath, M.D., F.A.C.P., Rachel S. Rubin, M.D., and Charles J. Ryan, M.D. join ZERO’s esteemed group of leading medical professionals who are dedicated to helping men fight prostate cancer.
“All three of our new Medical Advisory Board members are nationally recognized for their work with prostate cancer patients and we were fortunate to feature them as speakers at the 2019 ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit in Washington, D.C. this past February,” said ZERO CEO and President Jamie Bearse. “Bringing these accomplished leaders onto our Medical Advisory Board allows us to tap their expertise year-round to help more patients and their families.”

Double Your Gift to Save a Man

It wasn’t long ago that Carl was teetering on the brink. Bills were piling up, debt collectors were calling, and prostate cancer was a ticking time bomb inside him.

I was in limbo. The cancer was growing, but I had no way to address it and move forward.
– Carl, Prostate Cancer Patient

Every day, prostate cancer patients are falling through the cracks. If not for your help, Carl would have been one of them. You can make sure that men like him get the help they need to start and continue life-saving treatments.
For a limited time, matching funds double your gift. Will you save a man?

Turn Your Passion into Action!
April and her brothers were devastated when they lost their dad to prostate cancer. Ever since, they’ve worked to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer by participating in different fundraisers for ZERO.

Last month April hosted a Birthday Fundraiser for ZERO on Facebook and set the goal as $500. She never expected to reach that goal, but was truly overwhelmed when the goal was surpassed!
“Every donation made me tear up, as I could only hope that those donations were going to such a great cause where at least one man can and will be helped, and one man can potentially be saved.”
If your passion is to raise funding to fight prostate cancer, you can join the thousands who host a fundraiser on Facebook to support ZERO. Meet April later this month when she speaks with ZERO’s Sierra on ZERO Live!
