Coming to you from The Windy City, Tanyon is ZERO’s Marketing & Communications Assistant supporting a range of activities from social media, to video production, partnerships, website content and everything in between. With a passion to make a difference in the world, Tanyon recently graduated from The George Washington University, where he earned his B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Communications. While at GW, Tanyon took advantage of his location by interning at organizations such as WETA, USDA, and GW’s Psychological Research Department.
Upon graduation, Tanyon knew he wanted to pursue a career at a mission-centric organization, which brought him to ZERO. Learning about ZERO’s mission to achieve Generation ZERO really resonated with Tanyon. His tie to the disease is deeply personal, as his Tio lost his long-fought battle with prostate cancer. Tanyon plans to use his diverse background to help strengthen and empower the men and families that are fighting prostate cancer.
In his off-time, you’ll likely find Tanyon planning his next trip. With over 20 countries visited, he hopes to make it to his 50th country before his 30th birthday. Proud of his Panamanian and Scouse roots, you may find that he’s rooting for multiple teams when the FIFA World Cup comes around. An avid conservationist, you’ll often find him out in nature, regardless of where he is in the world.
