Lishey Dent

Senior Manager, Mid-Atlantic Development
ZERO Prostate Cancer
Young woman with long brown hair smiling, Lishey Dent

Lishey is no stranger to the world of cancer advocacy, which makes her perfect as ZERO’s Mid-Atlantic Senior Manager. Lishey previously spent almost three years working as a Walk Coordinator for Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s Walk to End Colon Cancer. She also spent time working on the DC ScopeITOut 5K, which was also focused on raising awareness and advocacy for colon cancer.

Lishey earned her B.S. in Health Sciences with a concentration in Public Health Education at James Madison University. She got into the cancer nonprofit world after volunteering for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in memory of her uncle. Lishey came to ZERO because she wanted to make sure her career was making an impact. So, when she saw that her hometown Lehigh Valley would be in her zone, she knew it was a sign. She’s excited to grow ZERO’s Run/Walk portfolios and grow the advocacy efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. She plans to keep spreading the message that getting screened and checking family history can genuinely save lives.

In her off time, you may find Lishey swing-dancing with her partner; It’s a tradition that’s almost as old as their relationship as they started it when they were still in college. When she’s not dancing, you’ll probably find Lishey walking around and exploring new places in D.C.. Click here to connect Lishey to all of ZERO’s Mid-Atlantic happenings.
