Kathy Costigan is ZERO’s problem solver. A debater by nature, she loves a good challenge and is not afraid to dive into uncharted territory. As ZERO’s Chief Development Officer, she loves talking to people to learn their stories and challenges and how ZERO can be part of the solution. Where can you find her when she’s not at the office? Probably on the baseball field, watching her sons hit it out of the park. (Try getting her out of the office before 6 p.m., though. We dare you.)
Kathy began her career as a Hill staffer serving as District Director to Tom Bliley, R-VA and Legislative Assistant to Duncan Hunter R-CA. In 2009, she joined the ZERO Team to help create and develop the infrastructure in a growing organization, but soon realized her passion for fundraising. She jumped in to help build and expand ZERO’s successful sponsorship program, chapter strategy, and non-event giving. She makes it her mission to let every ZERO donor know the immediate impact of their gift.
An ovarian cancer survivor herself, Kathy understands the importance of early detection – in fact, it’s what saved her life. With three sons and a husband genetically predisposed to prostate cancer, she fights to make a difference in the lives of men affected by the disease each and every day.
