Caitlin Murphy’s two favorite things are Frank’s RedHot (she puts it on everything) and ensuring that every event she touches goes off without a hitch. Having handled many different aspects of events – from transportation to volunteers to fundraising and everything in between – she’s the well-rounded woman you want on your team.
Caitlin comes to us having grown and managed the now-award winning volunteer program for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc., so she is no stranger to engaging the communities around her and making lasting relationships. She previously served in event management consultant roles at the Democratic National Convention Committee, Presidential Inaugural Committee, and National Memorial Day Concert/ A Capitol Fourth, before landing at ZERO in May 2018. Having connected with ZERO’s mission immediately – her grandfather is a prostate cancer survivor – she knew she’d found a home at ZERO. She now serves as our Mid-Atlantic Chapter Director, after having helped coordinate more than 40 run/walks nationwide in her first few months. Caitlin is looking forward to connecting with the ZERO community all across the eastern seaboard.
Engaging the community of men and families affected by prostate cancer in the Mid-Atlantic isn’t her only passion, this former college rugby player is also a Barre Instructor and considers herself both a pun and competitive karaoke master outside of the office. Always with shades in hand, shoot her a note to check out her quirky selection of branded sunglasses or how to get involved with ZERO’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
