After seeing success in corporate and association event management with Cvent and SmithBucklin, Betsy joined ZERO in February 2002 to start a mobile testing clinic, the ZERO Prostate Cancer Drive. The rest is history: under her direction, the Drive helped more than 130,000 men and spread the lifesaving message of early detection, before being sold to statewide programs in 2015. Betsy found something else when she joined ZERO: her husband, a urologist who volunteered on the ZERO’s testing vehicle. Betsy’s family fuels her determination to end prostate cancer – her father-in-law had been diagnosed with the disease, and because family history is an important risk factor, she fights hard to end prostate cancer for her husband, daughter, and two sons.
If she’s not spending time with her family or working tirelessly to recruit, manage, and grow ZERO’s event and chapters, Betsy’s probably traveling somewhere new or going for a run. Ask for advice on the perfect serve or about a local Run/Walk event by dropping her a line here.
