Marketing & Communications Internship – Remote August 3, 2023 ZERO Prostate Cancer is a local non-profit organization dedicated to ending prostate cancer. Our mission is to save lives and stop pain and suffering by advancing research, encouraging action, and providing education and support to prostate cancer patients and their families.ZERO is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to assist our Marketing & Communications Team.Responsibilities:Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content under the direction of the Social Media ManagerAssist in creation of digital and social media event marketing materials for upcoming eventsAssist in the production of podcasts and webinarsAssist in coordination of guest writers, editing, and publishing blogsAssist with minor website updates as neededSupport the Digital Media Coordinator with public relations and media outreach by coordinating calendar listings, pulling media lists, and drafting pitchesResearching potential opportunities with media sponsors and partnershipsCoordinating photo libraryOther tasks as assignedQualifications:Enrolled in a degree-seeking program focused on marketing, communications, or public relations preferredProfessional demeanorDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsEnthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated with a good sense of humorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectivelyAbility to work in a collaborative, team-oriented organizationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Sprout Social a plus.Strong computer skills and a quick learner of new technologyStrong interpersonal skills and judgmentAbility to accept constructive feedback in a professional manner throughout internshipFlexibility to work some evenings and weekendsInterest in learning about and sharing in our missionPart-time internships are available between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. With communication, start and end days of internship are flexible.
