Us TOO Free Conference Call: "Intimacy & Prostate Cancer"
Supported in part by a generous contribution from Erectile Dysfunction Institute
So many couples facing prostate cancer soon realize they are also facing other difficult, even devastating, challenges. One such challenge involves reclaiming or redefining the intimate relationship as a result of prostate treatment-related impotence or reduced sexual drive or function.
The Us TOO Companions & Family Advisory panel hosted a one-hour, nationwide teleconference program on the topic, "Intimacy and Prostate Cancer" on Tuesday, February 13th. The call featured:
Arnold Bullock, MD, Assistant Professor, Surgery, Division of Urologic Surgery, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Bullock specializes in cancer of the genitourinary area which includes prostate, urologic, bladder and kidney cancer, including impotence issues and solutions. In 2005, Dr. Bullock was recognized in "Best Doctors in America."
Jim Kiefert, Us TOO Board Chairman and his delightful wife, Maureen.
Jo Ann and Jerry Hardy. Jo Ann serves as the only female member of the Us TOO Board of Directors.
Elizabeth Cabalka is a consultant, author, and sought-after speaker in the areas of caregiver advocacy, grief support and human potential.
The call was moderated by Elizabeth Cabalka, author and chairperson of the Us TOO Companions and Family Advisory Panel, of which both Jo Ann and Maureen are both active members.
Our panel members have faced prostate cancer AND the challenge of recreating or redefining intimacy and found solutions. Both couples are featured in the Us TOO original book, The Circles of Love Collection.
