Recognizing Movers and Shakers in the Fight Against Prostate Cancer
In 2022, ZERO is rolling out the “blue” carpet at the Bold for Blue Awards on Sunday, March 6th to celebrate the outstanding individuals and teams who have made a bold impact in the fight against prostate cancer. The award ceremony will be held during the 2022 ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit and will be held both in-person and virtually so everyone can participate.

In the fourth year of the Bold for Blue Awards, ZERO will again honor three individuals who have gone above and beyond in their local communities to end prostate cancer with the Impact Awards, which was first introduced in 2020.
The 2020 Impact Award winners were:
- Stephanie Mueller of Ohio was honored for her indomitable efforts to make ZERO’s Virtual Run/Walk series a smashing success. Stephanie participated in 41 ZERO 5Ks, meaning she ran 127.1 miles in 78 days! Decked out in blue each mile, Stephanie pounded the pavement in honor of her father, a prostate cancer survivor, to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer patients.
- Freddie Muse Jr. of California is a prostate cancer survivor and founder of The Men’s Cancer Network. Freddie helps provide prostate cancer resources and support for Black men in the greater Los Angeles area through his work.
- Meghan Nikituk of Virginia live-streamed creative videos on her social media channels to raise awareness during ZERO’s Run/Walk season; and ZERO’s November Grow & Give campaign. These videos inspired others to participate and donate, while also giving informative and educational prostate cancer facts.
Nominees can be anyone who has made an impressive difference in the fight against prostate cancer. Whether the individual is a ZERO Champion, prostate cancer patient, survivor, caregiver, Veteran, or medical practitioner, they are eligible if they care about men and families!
Nominations for the 2022 Impact Awards will be accepted until November 1, 2021. ZERO’s National Board of Directors selects the Impact Award winners. Finalists will be notified in mid-November by ZERO. Winners will be announced at the 2022 Bold for Blue Awards held on Sunday, March 6th at the ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit.
